Big Rush Cast

★★★★★ 4.6 Editor rating

Big Rush Cast dropped into our test rotation quietly and stayed there for a week, which almost never happens. The core loop is a lane defence with a twist: instead of placing static towers, you 'cast' units from a rotating hand, and their position on the field matters as much as their type. It turns every wave into a small planning problem you solve with your thumbs.

Controls are the reason it clicks on a phone. You tap a card, drag it to a lane, and release. That's it. No fiddly menus mid-fight, no pinch-zoom to see what's happening. The rush waves push you to make quick calls, and the game rewards players who learn the enemy patterns rather than those who just spam their strongest card.

What we liked most was the pacing between fights. You get a short breather to reshuffle your deck and swap out units that aren't pulling their weight. It keeps the strategy layer alive without slowing the action to a crawl. A few later stages spike in difficulty a bit hard, but nothing that a couple of retries and a smarter opening won't fix.
