Your opening three moves decide the whole tower defence map
After reviewing dozens of tower defence games, I've noticed the same pattern: players who plan a solid opening rarely lose maps, while players who react to trouble usually get overrun. The first thirty seconds set the tempo for everything after.
The core idea is coverage before power. Early enemies are weak, so you don't need heavy towers yet. You need towers in the right spots that will still matter when the map is crowded. Placing a cheap slowing tower at the first bend is almost always worth it.
A common mistake is spending everything on one strong tower early. It feels good for two waves, then the map floods and you can't afford to fix the gaps. Spread your first purchases, then concentrate power once you see where the pressure lands.
Different games reward different openings, but the habit transfers. When I picked up Glyph Guard Defense, my instinct to secure the first corner saved me on maps that wrecked less patient players. Learn the principle once and it follows you everywhere.
